Travel Nurse Salary: Tips for Determining Pay Range

Travel nursing allows registered nurses to have the flexibility of working across the country in a variety of settings. At a time when there is a nationwide nursing shortage, many of these opportunities are available – and they often pay top dollar. Hospitals and clinics across the country hire travel nurses for 3-12 months to fill in when staffing is short.
The pay for travel nurses ranges depending on experience. But, travel nurses will generally earn $24-$35 hourly. In addition to great pay rates, you are also provided with a one-bedroom, completely furnished apartment, free of charge to you. If you don’t need housing, a housing stipend will be paid based on the cost of living in the local area. You will also be provided with medical and dental insurance from day one (no waiting 30 days), 401K, license reimbursement, free continuing education, travel reimbursement, weekly pay, and MUCH MORE.
